A confident, stylish attacking display saw Royal Wootton Bassett Town Development record an emphatic 5-1 derby victory against Wroughton to advance to the quarter finals of the Wiltshire Senior Cup.
Bassett were on song all night and took the lead when Player of the Match Dexter Lyall steered in after Wroughton failed to clear from a corner and Toby Parker recycled the ball into the box.
A fine move out from the back - as well as helpful deflection off a Wroughton defender - brought Bassett their second as Alex Greenouff swept home.
Greenouff then made it three before half time following swift play down the left, with the ball eventually breaking to the unmarked forward to guide in from close range.
After the restart veteran Nick Mason's weighted pass over the top fell for Sam Dogbatse who coolly finished into the bottom corner from just inside the box.
Wroughton then pulled one back - and what a goal it was. Freddie Painter raced two-thirds the length of the pitch, surging through the Bassett lines before lifting a gorgeous deft lob into the net.
But Wroughton were well beaten and Jack Moss added the icing on the cake, stabbing in from a low right wing cross to make it 5-1.
