Two second half goals helped Royal Wootton Bassett Town Development to their third consecutive win as they recorded an impressive victory against reigning Wiltshire League Premier Division champions Shrewton United.
Although not hitting the same heights as last season, Shrewton are still a strong side and started the day in fifth.
But a resolute defensive performance from Bassett shut them out.
The first half was a tight affair with little in the way of chances.
Bassett then took the lead as the midway point of the second half approached, with Alex Greenouff firing in on the rebound.
Bassett's second arrived later in the half when strong pressing deep inside Shrewton territory from George Staten won the ball back from the visitors and Staten swept home when presented with a chance to shoot.
The win lifts Bassett into tenth, five points above the danger zone.
