Royal Wootton Bassett Town Under 18 Blue were denied the double as Ramsbury Youth overturned a 2-0 deficit before prevailing on penalties in the North Wilts League Cup final.

Bassett were the runaway Division One champions and aiming to become the first Under 18 team in club history to claim the North Wilts League double.

And they looked on course to do just that thanks to an early Jack Moss goal and a second half strike from Rauf Acheampong.

The Blues had numerous chances to extend their lead further too - which they would end up rueing.

Ramsbury had run Bassett close in a pair of league defeats. And they summoned a late comeback with cup silverware on the line, forcing penalties with goals from Olly MacDonald and Finlay Mo.

A dramatic shootout ensued - with Ramsbury prevailing in sudden death.
