A great performance tonight.

We weathered an early 10 minutes of pressure from Malmesbury as you'd expect from the home side. A slight switch in positions, Fran moving to centre back and Alfie 'Chief' moving to centre midfield worked a treat and our overall shape looked much better which freed Leon and Alex to really push on down the wings.

After a couple of sustained attacks our pressure paid off, a lovely corner from Alex saw Brandon rise like a salmon to power in our first headed goal of the season, seeing assistant Jason Hudson £5 out of pocket...

We continued to apply the pressure but couldn't find a clear way through a resolute defence, Sam Britton going closest from another header from a corner.

In the second half we started very well and had a good intensity, Alfie providing the bite in midfield with Lewis pulling the strings so Leon, Brandon and Sam could pile on the pressure, a couple of great crosses by Sam only needing a toe-touch to go in.

The defence of Henry, Fran and Ollie stood resolute against the Malmesbury attacks with Liam coming off his line superbly well to snuff out any danger.

Two quick goals saw the game out, a nice drive by Lewis into the bottom corner for two and a fierce drive by Charlie which the keeper couldn't hold, trickled into the bottom corner for three.

Jayden now up front looked dangerous and working really well with Sam was inches away from sliding one in and great vision seeing the keeper off his line was a little wide from 25-yards out but showed great thinking to try the shot.

All in all a great performance and if it wasn't for the Malmesbury no.8, who was brilliant for them, the scoreline would have been much higher.

Man of the Match was Fran - a flawless display at the back, tackling hard when needed but also brilliantly composed to play out form the back whilst under pressure.
