Sunday 6th September 2009 - Marlborough Town (A)

Great start to the new season with a well deserved victory away to Malborough.

We got into a quick lead with goals from Dom and Adam within the first 10 mins and was not too long before Adam added his second and Josh scored from a very helpful deflection!

Unfortunately we made a sloppy mistake at the back to let them score before half time. After the break Malborough came at us pretty strongly and scored a deserved second goal. We had to weather a bit of a come back for 20 mins but made sure of the victory with 5 mins to go – Dom getting his second and our fifth.

Overall performance was excellent. Great passing moves and hard work rate all over the pitch, although we did tire near the end due to not having any subs!
