A close game with plenty of action, although most coming from their Number 3 who (by my count) had 5 fouls against him alone. Very physical team who was spurred on by vocal support. In spite of this, Bassett equipped themselves well and battled back hard. Opening goal scored by James Tasker. Bassett suffered from a lack of passing and was punished for not giving the ball early.

After failing to clear the ball from defence, Cirencester scored making the game level. Towards the end, a draw looked fair, but again Cirencester found a way through to win the game. Disappointing in terms of sportsmanship and result, as Bassett should have won the game. Some work to do in training.
