Weekend preview: Women seek Bath revenge as Men visit Mangos

Wednesday 21st February 2024

Royal Wootton Bassett Town are due to play their penultimate home fixture in the South West Regional Women's Football League Division One Eastern on Sunday as Bath City visit the Sustain Stadium (2pm kick off).

And Adam Wood and his team will be looking to avenge a 2-1 away defeat against the Romans back in early October - a game which Bath won courtesy of a stoppage time goal.

Admission on Sunday is £4 for adults, £2 for concessions and free for RWBTFC youth members.

Prior to that Saturday sees testing away fixtures for the Men's First and Development sides.

In the Hellenic League Premier Division Bassett visit Mangotsfield United (3pm kick off).

While having won all three previous league meetings against Mangotsfield, Bassett slipped to a 2-0 FA Cup extra preliminary round defeat away against the Bristol-based side in August.

Meanwhile the Development team travel to Larkhall Athletic Development in the Wiltshire League Premier Division (2pm kick off).

Bassett are battling for position with the Larks - and Mark Simpkins' team will be seeking to get the better of their opponents after a narrow 2-1 loss when the teams met at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground in late August.
