Royal Wootton Bassett Town play the first of back-to-back games against Roman Glass St George on Wednesday when the teams square off in the quarter finals of the Wiseman Lighting Floodlit Cup (7.45pm kick off).

Please note the fixture will be taking place at Mangotsfield United's Cossham Street ground (BS16 9EN).

The game is already the teams' third meeting of the season after Bassett triumphed 1-0 in the league before Roman Glass exacted revenge with a 3-1 victory in the Marsh Challenge Cup.

Wednesday's match is another knockout encounter before the teams finish their league season series against one another on Saturday.

With both pushing for a playoff finish in the Hellenic League Premier Division, Saturday's encounter is arguably more important.

But for the winner of Wednesday's Floodlit Cup match, the reward - a semi final place and chance to keep fighting on another front as the season enters its closing stages - is not too shabby either.

After victories against Swindon Supermarine Development and Clanfield in previous rounds, Roman Glass represent a step up in terms of opposition. Indeed they have already seen off two Premier Division opponents - Corsham Town on penalties and Mangotsfield United - to reach the last eight.

Prior to that the Under 18s are in Wiltshire League Floodlit Division action on Monday night away at reigning champions Kintbury Rangers (7.45pm kick off).

To keep alive hopes of a top two finish Bassett will need to avenge their 2-0 home loss against Kintbury suffered back in October
