Wednesday sees the first of three cup fixtures in the space of seven days for Royal Wootton Bassett Town's Men's First Team. And it's set to be an exciting one with a derby visit to Highworth Town in the Wiltshire Premier Shield quarter finals (7.45pm).

Both teams may have eyes on their FA Vase third round ties on Saturday - with Bassett hosting Bridgwater United (Sustain Stadium, 3pm). But a place in the last four of the Premier Shield - earned at the expense of a rival - is an enticing prospect to aim for beforehand.

Bassett will certainly hoping for a better outcome than the last time they met the Worthians in a County Cup quarter final, with Highworth winning 5-2 in the Wiltshire Senior Cup back in 2017-18.

The Under 18s are also in Wiltshire League Floodlit Division action this week as they host title favourites Bristol Manor Farm on Thursday (7.45pm kick off).

Bassett will be aiming for better than the 5-0 defeat they suffered in the reverse fixture in September.

Admission is £4 for adults, £2 for concessions and free for RWBTFC youth members.
