Goalkeeper
Hopkins is a goalkeeper who joined Bassett last season, providing competition to established number one Millie Powell. She featured four times in all, primarily playing in the Wiltshire County Cup. An all-round sportswoman, Hopkins captains Royal Wootton Bassett Cricket Club’s women’s side and has also represented Wiltshire at the sport. She has also played for Royal Wootton Bassett Hockey Club.
Goalkeeper
Powell is a highly talented goalkeeper entering her fifth season in senior football. She has great shotstopping ability and is also confident with the ball at her feet. Powell first claimed the Bassett number one jersey early in the 2021-22 season and has never looked back. That year she featured sixteen times while earning both the Players' Player and Manager's Player of the Year awards for her excellent performances. Powell went on to make another 22 appearances in 2022-23, starting all but three games. Powell made a further 23 appearances in 2023-24 before keeping eight clean sheets in 26 appearances last season and earning the Supporters’ Player of the Year award. Powell also scored her first goal in Bassett colours, netting in an outfield appearance as a substitute in the Wiltshire County Cup victory against Staverton Rangers.
Defender
Bowden is a vastly experienced defender who joined Bassett midway through the 2024-25 season, making ten appearances. A tough tackling defender capable of playing across the backline, Bowden is also composed on the ball and a leader, having previously captained Swindon Town. After starting her senior career with Swindon Supermarine, Bowden moved to the Robins with who she made more than 100 appearances over the course of a lengthy and highly successful spell. In recent seasons she has also featured for Abingdon United and Bristol Rovers.
Defender
Cox is a talented young centre back entering her third season with Bassett after joining from Swindon Town. A physical player who isn’t afraid of a strong challenge, Cox can also handle pacey attackers while also being a handful going forward herself. Since signing she has performed strongly for Bassett, picking up three player of the year awards. Featuring 23 times in all competitions, Cox was Bassett's leading outfield appearance maker in 2023-24 and went on to claim a Players' and Supporters' Player of the Year double. Last season she featured 26 times and earned the Manager’s Player of the Year prize. A member of Swindon’s 2021-22 Under 16 Wiltshire County Girls’ League double-winning side, Cox first progressed into senior women’s football in 2022-23, appearing 18 times for Swindon’s Development side before joining Bassett.
Defender
Fraser is a strong, technically gifted full back who is entering her third season with Bassett after joining from Swindon Town. She established herself as a Women's First Team regular in 2023-24, making 18 appearances - 17 of which were starts. Fraser's strong development continued last season when she was Bassett's joint-leading appearance maker, scoring three goals in 27 games with her performances earning her the Coaches' Player of the Year award. Prior to joining Bassett, Fraser featured for Swindon from 2020-21 through the 2022-23 campaign. In the Covid-shortened 2020-21 season, she played six times for the Robins’ Development team, scoring once. She then spent most of the 2021-22 season with Swindon’s First Team, playing 14 times in the tier four FA Women’s National League Division One South West before splitting time between the First and Development teams in 2022-23.

Defender
Hurd is a centre half who joined Bassett ahead of the 2023-24 season from Swindon Town. She quickly earned a starting berth and featured 16 times in all in 2023-24, while making 13 starts. Last year her appearances were limited as she featured just three times having spent most of the campaign travelling. A strong defender who enjoys the physical side of the game, Hurd is a talented player when on the ball too, possessing the confidence and ability to bring the ball out from defence. Although mostly featuring for the Robins’ Development side, Hurd made her first team debut in 2017-18, playing twice in the tier three FA Women’s National League Premier Division South. After Swindon’s relegation she played four times in 2020-21 before going on to feature five times in 2022-23. She has also played for the University of East London Women’s First Team during her studies.
Defender
A Bassett stalwart, Jefferies has been with the club for a decade and a half having initially started off playing in Bassett’s Girls’ section. Immensely loyal, she has featured for the Women’s First Team in every season since reformed in 2009-10, helping Bassett climb up from Division Three of the Gloucestershire County Women’s League. She is the club’s all-time leading Women’s appearance maker and holds the distinction of having appeared in every single Women’s FA Cup game Bassett have played. Club captain, Jefferies leads by example from defence. While a solid centre back, she is more than willing to step out from defence and start attacks too, and she is also a threat from set pieces. Jefferies is still a quality player too, winning her sixth Player of the Year trophy in 2024-25. In Bassett's 2018-19 double-winning campaign, her performances earned her both the Players' Player and Manager's Player of the Year awards, while she picked up the Players' Player prize in 2013-14, 2014-15, 2022-23 and 2024-25. She also briefly filled in as Player-Manager during the 2020-21 campaign. Since Bassett joined the South West Regional Women's Football League, Jefferies has played in 147 games, scoring 23 goals.

Defender
Nightingale is a versatile player capable of playing in either defence or midfield who is entering her third season with Bassett. She brings significant experience playing at a higher level too having spent nearly a decade with sides in the FA Women’s National League. Nightingale has played a large part of her career with Swindon Town, enjoying spells with the Robins between 2014-15, 2017-19 and 2021-23. She has also featured for Forest Green Rovers (2015-16), Swindon Supermarine (2016-17) and Keynsham Town (2019-21). With Bassett, Nightingale appeared 20 times in 2023-24, scoring once and being named Coaches' Player of the Year. She then appeared 23 times last season, adding another single goal to her tally.
Defender
Sanghara is a young full back who joins Bassett last season from Swindon Town. She made 14 appearances in her debut campaign, four of which were starts. Sanghara featured for Swindon Spitfires in the South West Regional Women's Football League Division One Eastern in 2017-18 before moving to university where she played for the University of Sussex Women's team and while studying abroad in Spain. She then played nine times for Swindon's Development team in 2023-24 after having played twice for them in 2022-23.
Midfielder
Having joined in 2014-15, Egerton is one of Bassett's longest-serving players. She is a versatile player, featuring primarily in midfield though who will play anywhere she is asked and will always give 100 percent for her team. A dynamic, energetic player, Egerton will also chip in with a few goals and assists. In 2019-20, she was a hugely impressive performer. An ever-present, she scored twice and was joint winner of the team's Players' Player of the Year award prize. She previously won that award in 2015-16 and 2016-17 and is a three-time winner of Bassett's Manager's Player of the Year prize (2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-17). Injuries limited her appearances in 2021-22, but Egerton bounced back in 2022-23, playing 21 times and scoring twice. In 2023-24 Egerton featured 17 times, adding a further goal, before scoring once in 18 games last season. Overall, since Bassett entered the South West Regional Women’s Football League in 2017-18, Egerton has played 126 times, registering 14 goals.

Midfielder
Goodright is a dynamic midfielder who is entering her third season with Bassett after joining from Swindon Town. She enjoyed an excellent first season in blue and yellow, playing 22 times while scoring five goals, earning the Manager's Player of the Year award. Last season she added three goals in 27 games. Despite still being young, Goodright possesses plenty of experience playing at a higher level. Having featured largely for their Development team, Goodright was primarily a First Team player for Swindon in 2022-23, featuring 19 times and scoring once in the tier four FA Women’s National League Division One South West. A goalscoring midfielder, Goodright found the net eight times for Swindon’s Development team in 2017-18 and four times a year later. Her strong performance also earned her first taste of first team football, making 14 appearances across those two campaigns. She was then named Swindon’s Development team Manager’s Player of the Year in 2019-20 after registering five goals in ten games in a season in which she also made a further two two first team appearances. Goodright continued to mainly feature for the Robins’ Development side over the next two seasons, scoring twice in six games in 2020-21 and three times in 16 appearances in 2021-22 when she also played in five first team games.

Midfielder
Goodright is an attack-minded midfielder who joined Bassett part way through the 2023-24 season. That year she featured thirteen times - with ten appearances coming from the bench - and scored a single goal in an 8-0 Wiltshire County Cup win against Westbury Youth. Goodright made the same number of appearances last season, adding nine goals - six of which came in County Cup action against Blunsdon. Goodright was previously with Swindon Town, featuring for their Development team in the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons, while also making a handful of appearance for the Robins' First Team. After some time away from the game, Goodright made her return to football for Bassett last year.
Midfielder
Kennedy is a talented young central midfielder who is entering her fourth season with Bassett’s Women’s First Team. She enjoyed a standout 2022-23 campaign in which she was Bassett’s joint-leading appearance maker, playing 23 times and earning the Manager’s Player of the Year award. Kennedy made her Women’s First Team debut at the end of the 2021-22 season, making two appearances from the bench. She was in and out of the starting eleven at the beginning of 2022-23, but quickly established a starting role thanks to her performances. Kennedy then enjoyed another excellent year in 2023-24, playing 22 times while scoring twice. Last season she found the three times in 23 appearances.
Midfielder
Scott is an experienced midfielder who joins Bassett this season. She made her breakthrough in senior football with Swindon Town in 2017-18. Primarily featuring for their Development side, Scott also made ten first team appearances in the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division. She then had a spell at university in the USA, playing at Missouri Valley College. After returning to the UK, Scott played ten further times for Swindon in 2022-23 before spending the last two seasons with Forest Green Rovers in the South West Regional Women's Football League Premier Division, scoring five goals in 35 games.
Midfielder
Sykes is a long-serving, cultured central midfielder player who came through Bassett's Girls' system.She is a player who loves to get stuck in, possesses an eye for a pass, is capable of playing at a high tempo for 90 minutes and who can conjure up a goal when needed. Sykes first featured for Bassett in 2016-17, starring for the club's Wiltshire County Girls' League Under 16 Division title winners. She made the step up to the Women's First Team a year later and earned Bassett's Players' Player of the Year award in her debut season. She continued to play a key role a year later, scoring two goals in Bassett's South West Women's Football League Eastern Division and Wiltshire County Cup double-winning campaign. Following a lengthy injury layoff, Sykes returned to play five times in 2020-21, before appearing 17 times in 2021-22 and 12 times in 2022-23, scoring one goal. Sykes had another strong season in 2023-24, netting six times in 18 matches. She then added three goals in 16 games last season. Overall, she has played 106 times for Bassett since the club entered the South West Regional Women's League, registering 13 goals.

Midfielder
After a season frustrated by injury, Telling joined Bassett in the summer of 2024, featuring 18 times and scoring once in her debut season with the club. A composed but intelligent midfielder who has the eye for an accurate pass, Telling was previously at Swindon Town where she made 21 appearances for the Robins’ first team in the FA Women’s National League. Telling is also a qualified coach and has headed up several girls’ teams for the Swindon Town Foundation.
Forward
Bach is an aggressive, hard-working forward with an eye for goal who joined Bassett last season. She had an impressive debut season too, scoring ten goals in 27 games including a brace in a 3-0 away win at Stockwood Wanderers. Bach joined from Cheltenham Town where she impressed for the Robins' Reserve team in 2023-24, scoring six goals in fifteen appearances as her team finished in third place in the FA Women's National League Reserve South West division. Her performances were also enough to earn a single appearance for Cheltenham's tier three First Team side. Prior to Cheltenham, Bach was with Swindon Town. She largely played for their Development team, finishing as top scorer with 25 goals in 22 games as Swindon finished third - a place behind Bassett - in the 2017-18 South West Regional Women's Football League Division One Eastern. Her appearances were more limited over the next couple of seasons, though Bach returned to a prominent role for Swindon's Development team in 2021-22, netting 7 times in 17 matches. Bach then featured 23 times for Swindon's First Team in 2022-23, scoring twice.

Forward
A long-serving player, Baker is a quick forward player who possesses a great ability to hold up the ball and combines well with her teammates. Capable of finding the back of net, Baker's work out of possession is just as important as she can always be relied upon to give her best effort for the team and is not afraid of getting stuck in. Baker has been with Bassett since the 2016-17 season, scoring five goals that year as Bassett finished runners-up in Gloucestershire County Women's League Division One and lifted the league cup. While netting just twice a season later - Bassett's first in the South West Women's Football League, Baker enjoyed her best season in front of goal in 2018-19, scoring eight times. Over the past four seasons Baker has scored ten goals in 53 appearances.
Forward
Brooks is a forward who joined Bassett last season after making the step up from County League football from FC Chippenham Youth. A player who knows where the net is, Brooks finished as Bassett’s top scorer with 23 goals (including four hat tricks) in 17 games. Prior to joining Bassett Brooks was a prolific scorer in the Wiltshire County Women’s League, hitting ten goals for FC Chippenham in 2019-20, twelve in 2021-22, 20 in 2022-23 and 23 goals in 2023-24 as her side finished third.
Forward
Bulley is a forward with an impressive goal-scoring record at County League level who joins Bassett this season. Bulley has spent most of her senior career with Highworth Town, firing 21 goals in just ten games in her debut season in 2019-20. She continued to be among the goals, registering impressive hauls in 2023-24 (netting 15 times in 20 games) and 2024-25 (19 goals in ten appearances). Bulley then had a brief spell with Bassett’s league rivals Corsham Town last season, scoring three goals in two games.
Forward
A player who has been with the club for a number of years, Elliott is a forward with a real engine, a desire to work hard and the ability to find the back of the net when it matters. Elliott first featured for Bassett in 2012-13, helping her side achieve promotion from Gloucestershire County Women’s League Division Two and finishing as second top scorer . After a spell away from the club in which she featured for FC Chippenham Youth and also went travelling, Elliott returned to Bassett for the 2017-18 and played a vitally important role at the back end of Bassett's 2018-19 double-winning season that earned promotion to the South West Regional Women’s Football League Premier Division. She then registered an impressive haul of seven goals in 14 appearances in 2019-20 and, after missing most of the 2020-21 campaign due to pregnancy and the birth of her son, returned to be a first team regular in 2021-22, playing 16 times and scoring twice. Three seasons ago Elliott netted five times in 19 games. Elliott then enjoyed excellent campaigns in 2022-23 and 2023-24, netting 14 times in 21 games in the former and 15 goals in 26 games in the latter. Overall, since Bassett entered the South West Regional Women’s Football League in 2017-18, she has played 124 times, registering 43 goals.

Forward
Gulliver is another long-serving player, having initially joined in the 2016-17 season when Bassett finished as runners-up in Gloucestershire County Women’s League Division One. Winner of Bassett's Manager's Player of the Year award in 2017-18 as well as the Supporters' Player of the Year prize in 2018-19, Gulliver is an all-round athlete who has the ability to defend and attack excellently. Having previously been with Swindon Spitfires, Gulliver initially joined Bassett as a defender. However, she was moved into a more advanced role in 2019-20 and continued to deliver, scoring nine times in 14 appearances. Injuries limited Gulliver in 2020-21, but she still featured ten times, scoring three goals. She returned to fitness in 2022-23 and was Bassett’s joint-leading appearance maker, scoring four goals in 23 games. Gulliver was again on form two seasons ago, notching 14 times in 22 matches, before adding 21 goals in 25 games last year. Overall since Bassett entered the South West Regional Women’s Football League in 2017-18, she has played 136 times, registering 53 goals.

Forward
Taylor is an experienced forward who joins Bassett this season. A player with presence, an eye for goal and the ability to bring others into the game, she adds something extra to Bassett’s attacking options. Taylor joins from Forest Green Rovers where she spent the past two seasons, scoring 12 goals in 29 games. Early in her career Taylor featured for West Ham United, appearing for their Reserve team in 2015-16. She then joined Swindon Town, featuring for the Robins in the FA Women’s National League across six seasons from 2017-18 to 2022-23.
Manager
A UEFA B qualified coach with experience managing in the FA Women’s National League, Lally was appointed as Women’s First Team manager in May. In 2021-22 Lally managed Swindon Town in the FA Women's National League Division One South West as the Robins finished sixth and advanced to the Women's FA Cup second round. Lally also enjoyed success as Cheltenham Town Reserves Head Coach in 2023-24, guiding them to a third place finish in the FA Women's National League Reserve South West while also reaching the Gloucestershire County Women's Trophy final. He was most recently with FA Women's National League Division One South West side Southampton Women, and previously had a spell in charge of Swindon Town’s Development side.
Coach
Clarke joins Bassett’s Women’s First Team as a coach this season. He brings significant prior coaching experience. Clarke has been active in the Women's game, including with Swindon Town's Development side, and has also spent time coaching in the Men's game, most notably at New College during their spell in the Hellenic League.

A specialist defensive coach with more than ten years experience, Kennedy joined Bassett’s Women’s First Team last season.

Tomlinson joins Bassett’s Women’s First Team as goalkeeper coach this season. A former coach in Bassett's youth section, Tomlinson has significant experience in Women's football having served as Swindon Town's goalkeeper coach for the past five years. He also coaches with Swindon Town's Academy and FC Wiltshire.
