Despite playing against ten men for three quarters of the match, Royal Wootton Bassett Town had to settle for a point in a goalless draw against Hallen.
Ten previous league meeting between the teams had yielded six draws. So, if history is any kind of predictor, a sharing of the spoils was not out of the ordinary.
This was the first time however that Bassett and Hallen had played out a 0-0 draw.
Manager Jonny Aitkenhead will ultimately be frustrated though that his side were unable to make the extra man account after Jack Sheppard Cozens received a straight red card for retaliation in the 25th minute.
Sheppard Cozens had just seen a double chance go begging with player of the match Lewis Clark pulling off a point blank save before the forward failed to put the rebound away.
Bassett were grateful for that let off - and even more so when the red mist descended.
But with ten men, Hallen proved to be well organised and, try as they might, Bassett couldn't muster the magic needed to make their advantage count.
Indeed, Hallen arguably had the better opportunities.
For Bassett's young side it's another useful learning opportunity - though one they'll need to apply the lessons from the next time they find themselves in such a situation.
