Royal Wootton Bassett Town's preparations for the 2022-23 South West Regional Women's Football League Premier Division campaign begin this Thursday (9 June) with new manager Simon Harrison set to lead the women's team's opening training session. This takes place at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground from 8-9.30pm.

The team will then be training every Thursday through June before moving to twice weekly sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in July and August.

Bassett are also set for six friendly fixtures in the run-up to the beginning of their campaign.

They are due to visit fellow step five side Luton Town on Sunday 10 July before consecutive friendlies against higher level opposition. Bassett will host Swindon Town (Sunday 24 July) before visiting Portishead Town a week later (Sunday 31 July).

Bassett then finish their pre-season schedule with home matches against step seven Swindon Supermarine (Sunday 14 August) and step six St Vallier AFC (Sunday 21 August) before an away visit to step five Wycombe Wanderers (Sunday 28 August).

Kick off times for all friendly fixtures are still to be confirmed, while dates and opponents are potentially subject to change.

All players – returning and new – are welcome to attend training sessions.
