Royal Wootton Bassett Town will be holding open trials in May for its 2022-23 Under 18s team.

The Under 18s have enjoyed a hugely successful 2021-22 campaign, finishing as runners-up in the Wiltshire League Floodlit Division, and will be looking to build on that and again compete for the title next season.

As well as the Wiltshire League Floodlit Division, the club will also be again entering the North Wilts Youth League and FA Youth Cup in 2022-23.

All Under 18s players will once again have the opportunity to potentially progress into the club's Development and First team sides when ready – with the possibility of earning Hellenic League and Wiltshire League experience as a result.

Demonstrating that these are very real opportunities, this season has seen four players from the Under 18s squad – James Johnson, Jowan Partridge, Kevin Prouse and Alex Stephenson – make their first team debuts, with Bertie Jaques-Matthias, Louis Smith and Charlie Stammers featuring for the Development team alongside that quartet.
