Saturday 5th June 2021

Royal Wootton Bassett Town will be holding open trials on Thursday 17 and 24 June for its 2021-22 Ladies team. These will take place at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground from 8pm on each day.

The team will be entering its third season in the South West Women's Regional Football League Premier – step W3 of the Women's Football Pyramid, the fifth tier of women's football in England – in which they will compete against sides from Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Devon and Cornwall.

Bassett's Ladies will also again enter the Women's FA Cup and Wiltshire County Women's Cup.

The 2021-22 campaign will be the team's first full season under the management of Graham Fletcher, who was appointed to the role in November.

And he is keen to further bolster an already strong squad, with the ultimate ambition being to progress to the FA Women's Premier League.

As a club, Royal Wootton Bassett Town offers the highest quality facilities for playing and training at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground, opportunities for post-match analysis through the club's Veo subscription as well as the chance to develop as coaches – with our willingness to support players obtain coaching qualifications – or in other voluntary roles.
