Volunteers sought ahead of 2021-22 season

Monday 5th April 2021

While the easing of lockdown restrictions means the 2020-21 season is still going, Royal Wootton Bassett Town are keen to get ahead on planning for the 2021-22 campaign in order to hit the ground running.

To that end, the club is seeking volunteers to join a Fundraising Events Team as well as to staff the refreshments kiosk at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground on Sundays.

Fundraising Events Team

The club is seeking enthusiastic volunteers who will form a team responsible for the organisation and planning of fundraising events.

The aim of these events will be to attract members from across all sections of the club and to contribute towards fundraising efforts for the club itself, as well as for charities and other good causes.

Those interested in joining the Fundraising Events Team are invited to contact Vice Chairman Pete Yeardley (07778 936868; peter.yeardley@rwbtfc.co.uk) and Head of Youth Section Mari Green (07712 581384; mari.green@rwbtfc.co.uk).

Refreshment Kiosk volunteers

The club is also seeking volunteers willing to provide support in the stadium refreshment kiosk at the Gerard Buxton Sports on youth section matchdays on Sundays.

Volunteers will help with the preparation and sale of food and drinks from the kiosk.

Given games run throughout the day, a team of volunteers would be ideal in order to ensure this can be opened for refreshments and to allow parents and carers who might be interested in the role to still be able to watch their sons and daugthers play.

Anybody interested in the role is invited to contact Head of Youth Section Mari Green (07712 581384; mari.green@rwbtfc.co.uk).
