Royal Wootton Bassett Town have launched the #rwbtfc92 Inter-Section Challenge, pitting its Senior, Ladies, Youth and Veterans sections against one another in a virtual fundraising race around the 92 Premier League and EFL grounds.
Players in each section are invited to track the distance they run, cycle or walk each week and submit this information to their team managers each Friday.
Totals will then be added together to determine the weekly distance recorded by each section.
To complete the challenge, each section will need to clock up 2,390 miles. The virtual route will see each section 'set off' from the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground before traversing England and Wales to visit the 92 Premier League and EFL grounds, with the finish line being Swindon Town's County Ground home.
Weekly map updates will be posted on the club's social media channels.
Prizes are on offer for the winning section!
Money raised from the challenge will go to Brighter Futures. Donations can be made here.
Brighter Futures is the charity for Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust which includes Great Western Hospital and community health sites in Swindon.
