Congratulations to Thomas Cooper of Royal Wootton Bassett Town's Under 14 White team on winning the Youth Section Player of the Month award for December.

In nominating Thomas for the award, his team's manager Ryan Brudenell gave high praise. "Thomas' head never drop – he has not played in his favourite position, but where needed for the team and he always shows determination and energy."

The Player of the Month award is a new initiative. Players can be nominated by their team managers and coaches. Nominees then go into a ballot with the winner - who receives a voucher and trophy - selected from these.

Twenty nominations, listed below, were received for the December prize, all of whom received a club postcard containing the reason for their nomination.
