Free Saturday Skills and SSE Wildcats Girls' Football Sessions

Tuesday 17th December 2019

The Free Saturday Skills Sessions will be taking a break for the Christmas holidays, and will restart on Saturday 11th January.

Huge thanks go to those who have been attending so far this season - Mark Ellis and the team of coaches and helpers look forward to see everyone again in the New Year.

The Free Skills Sessions are open to boys and girls aged 4-13, while the SSE Wildcats Centre is available for girls aged 5-11 to attend.

The club originally introduced free skills sessions in September 2012 after the club had its Football Legacy Fund (FLF) application accepted by the FA National Youth Council.

And in 2018 the community football sessions received the prestigious Wiltshire FA Community Project of the Year in the inaugural FA and McDonald's Grassroots Football Award.

Meanwhile, the SSE Wildcats Girls' Football Centre began in May 2019.

The FA and SSE launched the Wildcats Girls' Football initiative to inspire girls aged between 5-11 to be involved in football. SSE Wildcats Girls' Football Centre provide girls with regular opportunities to play football and take part in organised sessions in a fun, engaging and safe environment. Over 1,400 centres have now been established nationwide.

SSE Wildcats Girls' Football has been established in partnership with SSE, supporter of girls' football participation and sponsor of the SSE Women's FA Cup, with support from UEFA, FIFA and The Youth Sport Trust.
