It was an excellent week for Royal Wootton Bassett Town Under 12 Blue this weekend. Check out their result - and other youth section action - in Joshua Carey's weekly round up.

Under 12s

The Under 12 Blues were finally victorious after what has been a very tricky start to the year for them. They beat AFC Newbury Boys and Girls White 4-3 away from home. Leon Hudson scored a double, while Jude Davidson and Lewis Osbaldeston were also on the scoresheet with one goal each.

The Under 12 Yellows were less fortunate in another seven-goal thriller as they were beaten at home. Cirencester Town Youth Gladiators were the winners in this fixture with five goals opposed to Bassett's two. Brandon Jack was the scorer of both of the home side's goals.

Under 13s

The Under 13 Yellows suffered defeat on foreign soil this weekend. FC Abbey Meads Youth Blue scored six goals against a suffering Bassett side in poor conditions. Nikolai Ball made the headlines for Bassett as he secured a goal in their heavy 6-1 defeat. This was his first goal of the season.

Under 14s

The Under 14 Blues narrowly lost 2-1 away to Swindon Supermarine Youth FC. Samuel Bounds was on the scoresheet once again as he softened the blow of the defeat.

Their sibling side, the Under 14 Yellows also lost. They were defeated 4-1 away to Stratton Youth. Patrick Otoo-Mensah was once again their scorer.

To conclude the Under 14 age group, the third and final team, the Under 14 Whites lost. They were beaten 6-1 on home ground. Charlie Marshall was the only scorer compared for Bassett compared to the half dozen scored by Wroughton Youth Leopards.

Under 15s

Moving on, the Under 15 Blues won a cracking 8-2 at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground against Lydiard Youth Black this weekend. A Joseph Rouse hat-trick, an Oliver Dyer double and single goals from Max Brackenbury, Roan Castle and Alfie Gleed were the cause of a hammering against their opponents.

The Under 15 Yellows were also at home but lost 6-3. Stratton Juniors FC Jaguars dominated as goals from Taiga Matsushima, Joey Warren and Samuel Warner were no match for the visitors' goal-scoring force.

Under 16s

In the Wiltshire County Cup, the Under 16 Blues suffered defeat in the third round, losing narrowly 3-2 against Ferndale Rodbourne YCFC. Gio Pungitore and Alex Stephenson netted for Bassett.

Meanwhile, the Under 16 Yellows continued a good run of league form as they beat North Wilts League Division Three Lydiard Millicent Juniors FC 3-2 on home territory. A Harvey McCullie brace and a Sebastien Turner goal secured a second consecutive win for the Yellows that keeps them part of an exciting four-team title race.

Under 18s

Saving the best until last, the Under 18 Yellows offered Ashton Keynes Youth Black a hammering as Bassett won a heroic 12-0 at home

Joshua Harkness secured a hat-trick, Tom Warren bagged a double along with Cameron Wootten, while mini-maestro Callum Flay, Dylan Grother, skipper Adam Jones, Jack Timbrell and Reece Parker scored one goal each to secure their team's fifth win in six league games this season. The Blues remain second in Division Two.
