Royal Wootton Bassett Town Under 16 Yellows suffered their first defeat of the season this past weekend, whilst the Under 18 Yellows fell short of one goal to retire from cup duties.

The Under 16 Yellows were given a battering this weekend as Division One opponents Cirencester Town Youth netted 18 times without reply. This meant the Yellows were knocked out of the North Wilts League Cup. While a heavy defeat, they can be proud of their run to the quarter finals. Their league duties now become a priority as they are still 100% successful in their league campaign so far.

The Under 18 Yellows were the least successful in a nail-biting match versus Fairford Town Development. They were beaten 3-2 away from home, conceding a last minute goal. Jack Timbrell and Charlie Humphries were on target for the Yellows.

In league action, the Under 12 Blues were beaten on home soil by FC Calne Youth. They were beaten 3-1 as an own goal gave them consolation in the game.

Sibling side, the Under 12 Yellows were victorious on foreign territory as they beat Ashton Keynes Youth Black a whopping 6-0. Brandon Jack netted twice, Daniel King once and super sub, Peter Harrington, bagged himself a hat-trick to complete their tally.

The Under 13 Blues were victorious once again as they beat Croft Junior Blue. They won 6-1 at home as Roberto Cinquegrani netted twice, Thomas Nicholls once, Samuel Smith once, Finlay Hyde once and Edward Greenouff once to complete the scoresheet.

Meanwhile, the Under 13 Yellows were the better of both sides but were unsuccessful on the scoresheet as they were beaten 6-2 at home by Fairford Youth. Finlay Marshall was on target once again. Finley Lavender also scored in the last five minutes to give Bassett hope, but another two goals from Fairford in stoppage time suspended the impact of the home team's goals.

Elsewhere, the Under 14 Yellows gave Robins a smashing at their home ground. They were victorious by nine goals to three. On-form, Patrick Otoo-Mensah netted a hat-trick, along with Jack Rae. Archie Portlock, Toby Tew and Poppy Wannell squeezed onto the scoresheet to make it nine.

Sibling sides, the Under 14 Blues and Whites were not so successful. The Blues lost at home to Lydiard Millicent Juniors Green. They were beaten 3-2 despite goals from James Dorset and Ebrahim Kebbeh. Away from home against Lydiard Millicent Juniors, the Whites were beaten 10-3. Two goals from Oliver Larcombe and a single goal from Markai Joseph were they only consolation that the squad had.

The Under 15 Yellows were victorious on foreign territory, as they beat Purton Youth 5-3. Taiga Matsushima and Joey Warren were on target twice. Callum King was on target once to complete a tally of five.

However, the Under 15 Blues were knocked out of the North Wilts League Cup in the second round at home against Robins, who were victorious in an 11-0 defeat for Bassett.
