Gordon Reeves appointed Life Member

Thursday 25 July 2019 - by Stuart Smedley (Updated on 25 July 2019 at 10:42)

Congratulations to Gordon Reeves, who was appointed as a Life Member at the Royal Wootton Bassett Town Annual General Meeting.

Gordon has been a vital volunteer for the club over the past two decades and becomes the twelfth individual to receive the prestigious honour of becoming a Life Member in recognition of his efforts.

Whether it be assisting with ground maintenance, cleaning facilities, putting up the nets or operating the club's tea hut on matchdays – where he is assisted by Karen Avery in a formidable team, Gordon has helped out in numerous ways. He has also been responsible for organising popular quiz nights on behalf of Royal Wootton Bassett Sports Association quiz nights for a number of years.

Gordon is one of Bassett's true unsung heroes and the club is hugely thankful for his continued efforts.
