Ladies Preseason Training

Tuesday 11th June 2019

Royal Wootton Bassett Town Ladies begin their preparations for life in the South West Women's Football League Premier Division on Thursday 27th June.

After winning the Eastern Division title to secure promotion, Bassett will be aiming to be competitive in their first season in the fifth tier of women's football.

To ensure that is the case, managers Jonny House and James Goddard have prepared a testing preseason schedule.

After beginning on Thursday 27th, training will take place on each Tuesday and Thursday in the build-up to the season.

Sessions will alternate between the grass pitches and AGP at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground.

Those taking place on Tuesdays on grass will be between 7 and 8pm. Meanwhile, Thursday sessions on the AGP will run from 8 to 9.30pm.

All players, returning and new, are welcome to attend, and should ensure they bring footwear appropriate for the relevant surface.

Bassett will then begin their series of six friendly matches with a home contest against last season's South West Women's Football League Premier Division champions Exeter City on Sunday 4th August.

They will then travel to take on FA Women's Premier League South West Division One side Larkhall Athletic before visiting Woodley United. A third away friendly has been organised against Welsh Premier Women's League side Port Talbot Town.

Bassett finish their preparations with home matches against Bristol Union Ladies and Marlborough Town.

Their full list of friendly games is as follows:
