Royal Wootton Bassett Town Under 15 Blue overturned a 2-1 half time deficit to record a 3-2 victory against Swindon Supermarine J to make a crucial step towards sealing a top two finish in North Wilts League Division One.

Bassett started the afternoon just two points ahead of Supermarine, who they had lost to in the semi finals of the Wiltshire County Cup three weeks ago.

At half time, Bassett were looking at another loss to Supermarine. But they came back to score two unanswered goals in the second period to emerge victorious. Kevin Prouse (2) and Lewis Dodson were on target for Bassett.

The Under 18 Yellows copied that feat in their visit to Cirencester Town, and moved up to third place in Division One. Ryan Battershell, Ryan Cinnamond and Luke Saunders sealed the points for Bassett.

There was a more straightforward victory for the Under 15 Blues, as they hit five without reply at home against Stanford in the Vale. They remain nine points behind Cirencester Town with four games in hand to play.

In their final game of the season, the Under 13 Blues ended a. run of six defeats, drawing 1-1 away against Cirencester Town Centurions. Bassett are guaranteed a sixth place finish in Division One.

Also concluding their campaign were the Under 15 Yellows. They narrowly lost a nine goal thriller against Wroughton Youth White. Jacob Davidson scored a brace, while Samuel Osei Bonsu and Daniel Seal also found the net. Bassett remain third, with Wroughton nine points behind with four games to play.

There was also a single goal defeat for the Under 13 Yellows in their final league fixture. Playing against Division Two champions Lydiard Millicent Juniors Green, Bassett led 1-0 at the break only to fall to an unfortunate 2-1 loss come full time having fought Lydiard all the way.

Elsewhere, there were losses for the Under 16 Yellows (0-7 against Kings Stanley), Under 14 Blues (1-5 against Swindon Supermarine), Under 14 Yellows (1-4 against FC Calne Hurricanes) and Under 13 Whites (1-11 against Marlborough Youth).
