Bassett to host Football For Cancer charity match

Monday 22nd October 2018

Royal Wootton Bassett Town will be hosting a charity match in aid of Football For Cancer as part of their '10 games, 10 cities, 10 days' challenge on Tuesday 6th November (7.30pm kick off).

The game will pit a team comprising of players from Bassett's Development and Under 18 teams against a Football For Cancer Select XI and will be the sixth match in their aim to play ten games in ten days in ten different cities..

Football For Cancer was created in 2008, and since then it has grown from a single tournament, to a charity that will be close to raising £1 million for local cancer charities and people. FFC is all about bringing people together to raise awareness and much needed funds for all those affected by cancer through sporting events.

They support local families who are going through one of the toughest times in their lives and provide directly to families to try and alleviate the financial burden that coping with cancer can cause.

A JustGiving page has been set up to which donations can be made.
