Fundraising efforts for this year's Holland Tour kick off on Saturday 20th October when members of the youth teams who will be travelling to the Netherlands take part in a sponsored cycle ride in Royal Wootton Bassett High Street.

Starting at 8am, players from our Under 12, 13 and 14 teams will be taking it in turns to ride static bikes, covering the 336 miles between Bassett and Dordrecht, the location of the hostel where the teams will be staying in Holland.

The sponsored ride will be taking place underneath the town's iconic Town Hall, where there will also be a cake stall, tombola and collection buckets to help raise further money.

A similar event took place ahead of last year's tour, with players braving freezing conditions in March to raise over £1,000. Here's hoping the edition for this season's tour is just as successful (with the weather being slightly more accommodating!).

Donations of cakes and tombola items are requested. Those interested in donating are invited to contact either Karen Watkinson or Claire Cranswick-Coates in order to arrange delivery and collection.
