Under 13 Girls dominate on home soil

Royal Wootton Bassett Town Under 13 Girls had another 2-0 win on home soil against a strong Hungerford Town side last Saturday.

The girls made a good start and managed to create some dangerous chances but couldn't find the back of the net.

A few early substitutions were made and they made an instant impact. Georgia Kimber scored with her first touch of the game, slotting the ball home at the end of a pin-point cross from Hollie Peachey.

Bassett went into the second half 1-0 up, hoping to secure their lead further.

The Blues put continuous pressure onto the Hungerford defence, until finally their persistence paid off.

Christina Croft blocked the ball fearlessly, chased it down and tucked it calmly into the bottom corner, showing great composure.

The game finished 2-0, which was a great result for Bassett, putting them further up the league in their hopes of topping the table.

Player of the match went to Chloe Guppy, who was outstanding from start to finish, making some vital tackles and driving the team forward.

The Under 13s hope to continue their winning streak next weekend, where they will tackle Hungerford again but this time away.
