Three Second Half Goals Secure The Points

Royal Wootton Bassett Town Development entertained bottom of the table Trowbridge Town at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground on Tuesday night - and a strong second half showing secured all three points.

The home side went into the game on the back of a good run of form that had seen them lose just once in their previous seven games and hoping to climb into the top five with a win.

In a tight first half they were unable to find a way past a resolute and hard-working Trowbridge defence as the two sides turned around with the game still without a goal.

The deadlock was finally broken early in the second half, Trowbridge keeper Jordan Gullis saving Sam Case's effort on goal only for the ball to fall to Omar Sisay who fired home.

Bassett then doubled their lead, Prince Nyongolo setting up Case for his sixth goal of the season.

Nyogolo later scored a goal of his own, firing home after good work from TJ Bohane to make it 3-0 as Bassett registered their fifth win in nine games to move up to fifth spot, level on points with Shrewton United but having played one game more.
