Under 16 Yellows suffer last minute heartbreak at Highworth

After a defeat least week, Royal Wootton Bassett Town Under 16 Yellow played their best football of the season so far away against Highworth Town Juniors H. However, unfortunately they were to suffer another loss thanks to a last minute goal.

Highworth started the game brightly and took the lead, then Tom Triggs hit a 25 yard shot which beat the keeper hit the crossbar and the line before bouncing back out.

Bassett then got into the swing of it and a goal from top scorer Patrick Otoo-Mensah set the Yellows on their way. And beautiful bit of football set Leo Neve up for a top corner finish for his first goal of the season.

Bassett where then very dominant looking for a third but some good football from both sides gave an entertaining game for the neutral.

Highworth soon equalised and both sides had chances to move ahead. Some brilliant saves from Joshua Moore kept the score line at 2-2, before Moore produced a world class save from a free kick on the edge of the box to keep the scoreline at a draw.

Both sides battled hard and again Moore saved a one on one with Highworth's top goalscorer to keep Bassett in the game.

Highworth then scored the winner a minute from the end to win the game.
