The less said about this game the better! By far the worst ever performance by this Bassett side against a Stratton team who we should have been capable of matching. Bradley Grey ran the show for Stratton and Bassett had no answer to the Swindon sides incisive passing moves. No doubt the cold weather played a part, with the Bassett side having to wait around in the cold whilst the league match involving Bassett's second team was being played. The home side meanwhile had the benefit of their players turning up just before kick-off, but it still does not hide a very poor Bassett performance. If it had not been for the goalkeeping of Tom Holmes the result could have been far worse as Bassett seemed to lack interest. It can only get better. Bassett man of the match: Tom Holmes
