Big win against a good Eldene side

A fine performance from Bassett at Rylands Way last Sunday against a good Eldene side, which included Swindon School of Excellence player, Calum Dunn. This was probably one of Bassett's best ever performances with some fine flowing football played throughout the match. The first half was quite a tight affair, but Bassett got themselves in front only to allow the visitors back into the game. Simon Anderton in the Bassett goal was very unfortunate to see the ball rebound of the post hit him and then roll into the net. Bassett managed to get back in front and then began to play some excellent football with Callum Snooks involved in a lot of Bassett's creative play. In the end Bassett managed to score six times. Sean Toomey continued his fine goal scoring run helping himself to a hat-trick in consecutive matches. The other Bassett goals came from Callum Snooks, Phillip Tearle and a fine Tom Marchment goal.
