Royal Wootton Bassett Town U14s faced Durrington Seahawks - a team they are fighting with at the top of North Wilts League Division One - and were looking to avenge their defeat in the away fixture.
And Bassett did just that, securing a vitally important 3-1 win that puts the Blues in a strong position to claim a top two placing come the end of the season.
Bassett made a great start, attacking well down the wings. The girls came close to scoring when Mia Hughes got onto the end of a corner and headed the ball onto the crossbar.
Durrington came close to taking the lead after a scramble in the box, but Izzy Ellis was on hand to clear the ball off the line.
Mia had another opportunity to put the ball away but saw her shot clash against the post.
However, the girls were rewarded with a goal not long into the half. Alisa Allan delivered a great ball across goal to find Ava Hall back post, who finished, giving the Blues the lead.
The second half continued in a similar fashion, with Bassett dominating. The home side managed to score two more goals in quick succession.
The first came from some great play down the left between Elise Dart and Ava, resulting in a goal for Mia. The second came through Sienna Matthews, who set up Mia for her brace.
Unfortunately, the girls didn't manage to keep a clean sheet as Durrington pegged one back. However, the Blues held on until the final whistle to secure a 3-1 victory.
Player of the match went jointly to Poppy Norton-Barrett and Ava for strong performances.
Elsewhere, the Under 16s had a tough match against Tyrone Mings Volcanoes, with only 11 players and no substitutes, but the girls battled hard and didn't give up.
Unfortunately, Bassett conceded a goal early on but weren't deterred and went on to dominate, playing some great football. However, an injured Mia meant that the girls went a player down and conceded another two before half time.
Mia bravely went back out again in the second half, but 20 minutes in the Blues lost Letti to a head injury and were back down to 10 players.
Unfortunately, this led to Bassett conceding further goals, resulting in a scoreline of 8-0.
A big shoutout to all the girls for their determination- they battled brilliantly. Keep going, Bassett!
The Under 13s faced FC Abbey Meads Blue at home on Saturday, looking to get a win ahead of a league cup semi-final against the same opposition next week.
The girls got off to a great start, passing the ball around well and creating dangerous attacks.
Bassett came close to scoring several times, with Emily Gower and Chloe Guppy coming close to firing the ball home. However, the Blues just couldn't get the ball in the net.
The home side found themselves one down after letting in an unlucky goal. Keeper Ella Oates cleared the ball, which unfortunately bounced off a Bassett defender, falling into the path of an Abbey Meads player, who finished.
The girls lost some of their momentum after that. The away side grew in confidence and attempted a long-range strike that unfortunately bounced over Ella's head to gift Abbey Meads their second.
The girls went into half time 2-0 down, although they had clearly been the better side and were unlucky to not have found the back of the net.
The Blues continued to dominate in the second half, with the ball mainly in their attacking half. The girls didn't give up and kept looking to score and get themselves back into the game. Unfortunately, it was Abbey Meads that scored a third and sealed off a three-nil win with their first and only shot of the second half.
However, the scoreline doesn't reflect the game as Bassett were the better side for most of the game but just lacked that final finish.
Player of the match went to Olivia Cooper and Chloe Guppy for outstanding defensive performances.
