Weekend preview: Women seek to head into festive break on a Flyer
Royal Wootton Bassett Town play their final South West Regional Women's Football League Division One North fixture before the Christmas break when they visit Downend Flyers on Sunday (2pm kick off).
James Lally's side will look to further extend their unbeaten start to the season - and claim a league double over Downend having beat them 1-0 in their opening fixture of their campaign.
Despite sitting inside the bottom half, Downend have been competitive in almost all their fixtures to date - including their visit to Wiltshire when they proved hard to break down.
Indeed, Bassett were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw when they visited Downend last season - a result that was costly for Bassett in their battle for runners-up with Bitton.
This year top spot is the target for Bassett. But they will need to be at their best on Sunday if they are to take all three points and maintain their title push.
Prior to that on Saturday there's a break from league action for the Men's First Team as they welcome Worcester Raiders in the last 16 of the Marsh Challenge Cup (Gerard Buxton Sports Ground, 3pm kick off).
Jonny Aitkenhead's side will have a point to prove against Raiders too after suffering a heavy 7-2 league defeat against their opponents in October.
Admission on Saturday is £8 for adults, £5 for concessions and free for RWBTFC youth members.
Meanwhile the Development team journey to face Bemerton Heath Harlequins Reserves in their final Wiltshire League Premier Division fixture before the Christmas break (2pm kick off).
Mark Simpkins' team were 3-0 winners against their opponents when they met at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground back in September.
