Royal Wootton Bassett Town manager Jonny Aitkenhead will be heading into the new season spoilt for choice in midfielder after adding three further players to his squad.

Henri Parry-Williams, Bonsa Teshome and Jordan Sykes all bring something different.

Young, energetic players, Parry-Williams (with Corsham Town and Slimbridge) and Teshome (with Cirencester Town) both featured in the Hellenic League Premier Division last season.

Meanwhile, Sykes, who counts Wantage Town and Woodley United among his former clubs, brings strength and power and is the more experienced of the trio.

All three provide the Bassett manager with further options as the start to the season draws nearer.

Profiles of the three players are available below.

All three players are available to sponsor for the 2025-26 season for just £50. Bonsa Teshome (Midfielder)

Effective out wide and through the centre of midfield, Teshome is an exciting youngster who joins Bassett this season. He was a key player at Hellenic League Premier Division rivals Cirencester Town last season, scoring four goals in 31 appearances.

Teshome broke into senior football in the Wiltshire League with Purton in 2021-22 before moving to Calne Town a season later. While playing primarily for their Reserves, he featured sparingly for Calne's first team side in Hellenic League Division One. Teshome split 2023-24 between Calne and Highworth Town's reserve teams before beginning last year with Wroughton ahead of joining Cirencester.

Henri Parry-Williams (Midfielder)

Parry-Williams is a highly talented central midfielder who joins Bassett this seasons. A player who came through Calne Town's youth system and a member of their successful Under 18 Floodlit League team, he made his debut in senior football in 2022-23, featuring four times for Calne's first team and eight times for their Reserve side.

A season later Parry-Williams featured 34 times for Calne in Hellenic League Division before splitting time last season between Corsham Town and Slimbridge in the Hellenic Premier.

Jordan Sykes (Midfielder)

A strong, powerful central midfielder, Sykes joins Bassett this season. He has featured for a range of teams, plying his trade at steps five and six of the non league pyramid for most of his career, with spells for Binfield, Milton United, Windsor, Woodley United and AFC Aldermaston. Sykes also gained Southern League experience while with Wantage Town.
