Royal Wootton Bassett Town manager Jonny Aitkenhead has further added to his squad ahead of the start of the 2025-26 Hellenic League Premier Division season, capturing the signature of two players who have starred at County League level and another pair of exciting youngsters.
Forwards Jono Peachey-Score and Kassa Anderson both join from near neighbours Wroughton where both have excelled in the Wiltshire Senior League in recent years.
They'll now be looking to repeat their goal scoring exploits at a higher level.
Midfielders Lewis Hayward and Omaree Cox, meanwhile, are further young talents - both at the start of their careers - who will be given the opportunity to prove their worth at step five.
Profiles of the four players are available below.
All four players are available to sponsor for the 2025-26 season for just £50. If you are interested in sponsoring any of our Men's First Team players, please contact Chairman Paul Gerrish (paul.gerrish@rwbtfc.co.uk; 07946 629483) or Head of Men's Section Rab MacLeod (robert.macleod@rwbtfc.co.uk; 07980 876176).
Anderson is a forward who joins Bassett this season after a number of successful seasons playing in the Wiltshire Senior League. He has previous Hellenic League Premier Division experience, having played 11 times for Calne Town in 2021-22. That season he also netted 19 times in just 16 games for Calne's Reserve side.
After briefly featuring for Devizes Town in 2022-23, Anderson joined Wroughton. In 2023-24 he scored two goals in 15 games before netting eleven goals in 23 appearances last season.
Peachey-Score is a forward who joins Bassett this season. Boasting a prolific goal scoring record in the Wiltshire Senior League over the past few seasons, he will be seeking to make his mark in step five football.
Over the past three seasons with Wroughton he has featured in the top three Wiltshire League scorers. He claimed the 2022-23 Golden Boot, scoring 30 times in 26 games before adding 31 goals in 29 appearances in 2023-24 and 29 goals in 31 matches last year. Peachey-Score began his senior career with Cricklade Town with his exploits earning a move to Shrivenham in 2021-22 with who he scored 13 times in 24 games in the Hellenic League Premier Division. Although moving back down to County League football, he did appear briefly for Malmesbury Victoria in the Hellenic Premier last season, scoring four goals in ten appearances.
Hayward is a highly talented central midfielder who joins Bassett this season. A player who spent time in Southampton's Academy as a youth, Hayward is also currently a member of Chippenham Town's Academy. He was a part of Chippenham's Academy side who recently won the Copa Catalunya tournament, scoring in the final and earning Chippenham's Player of the Tournament prize.
Cox is a promising young winger who joins Bassett this season. He spent time with both Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion as a youth. Last season he got his first taste of senior football in the Swindon and District League with FC Abbey Meads, scoring eleven goals in seven appearances.
