RWBTFC announce Sustain as new sponsorship partner

Monday 5th September 2022

Royal Wootton Bassett Town Football Club are delighted to announce a new major sponsorship with local recycling business Sustain.

The initial three-year partnership will see Sustain hold naming rights for the stadium pitch at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground – which will now be known as the Sustain Stadium – while they will also become the main sponsor for the club's Men's First Team.

Based in Royal Wootton Bassett, Sustain is the new brand name for much-loved local company Crapper and Sons.

All their products are 100% recycled and made in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. Their best known product is Mr Crapper's Potting Shed Compost, which will now be known as Sustain Compost. Their other recycled products include topsoil, turf, cardboard horse bedding, bark and railway sleepers, while Sustain also offer house and garden waste collection services.

Commenting on the agreement, Royal Wootton Bassett Town chairman Paul Gerrish said: "We are delighted to partner with Sustain. The generous support that they have agreed to provide is massively appreciated and we're extremely grateful for this as it will go a long way towards helping the club continue to thrive in what remain challenging times."

"The aim is to build further on the partnership we have agreed – not just to help the club, but to support and promote the Sustain brand."

Sustain Managing Director Richard Crapper said: "We have supported the Royal Wootton Bassett Sports Association through grants for a number of years. But this is a real change for us to become a main sponsor of such a well-run, dynamic volunteer organisation which provides Royal Wootton Bassett with football teams for all ages and for men, women, boys and girls. We're very excited to see what we can do together."
