Fixtures for the 2025-26 Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division campaign have now been released.
And Jonny Aitkenhead's Royal Wootton Bassett Town side are due to start their campaign on the road with an away trip on Tuesday 29 July to take on Thornbury Town - against who Bassett have won on all six of their previous visits to the Mundy Playing Fields. Kick off will be 7.45pm.
Should Bassett's Emirates FA Cup extra preliminary round tie against Lydney Town not go to a replay, Aitkenhead's team will play their home league opener against last season's fourth place side Mangotsfield United on Wednesday 6 August (7.45pm kick off).
That game will be the first of four straight home fixtures with a derby against Cirencester Town on Saturday 9 August (3pm), the visit of newly promoted Hallen on Wednesday 13 August (7.45pm) and another crunch derby against Fairford Town on Wednesday 20 August (7.45pm) - a game that will see many familiar faces return to the Sustain Stadium.
Bassett's run of home fixtures will end with their FA Vase first qualifying round trip to Cinderford Town - though they are again at home on 25 August for a Bank Holiday derby against Corsham Town (3pm).
A hectic first month of the season then concludes with a trip to Longlevens on Saturday 30 August (3pm).
Fixtures are subject to change. However, other key dates include a festive visit to Cirencester Town on Saturday 27 December and an Easter Monday home derby against Highworth Town. Bassett are due to visit the Worthians on Saturday 6 September. Meanwhile, the return fixtures against Corsham (28 February) and Fairford (18 April) are set for the new year.
Droitwich Spa represent the only new opponents for Bassett this season. The teams will meet for the first time in Worcestershire on Saturday 4 October, with the Saltmen due to travel to the Sustain Stadium on Saturday 20 December.
Full fixtures are available to view here.
As ever, all support - home and away - is greatly appreciated as Bassett enter a new era.
Admission prices for home league fixtures will remain frozen (£8 for adults, £5 for concessions and free for RWBTFC youth members).
