Wiltshire Council will be caryring out a carriageway works programme on Coped Hall Roundabout and Swindon Road, beginning on Saturday 7 June with the work due to be completed by Monday 16 June.
RWBTFC members and visitors to the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground are reminded that access will be available at all times to the facility from the Brinkworth direction during this period.
When works are taking place on Swindon Road, access will be available from both the Brinkworth and Coped Hall Roundabout directions.
However, access from the Coped Hall Roundabout will not be possible when works are taking place there. Instead, it will be necessary to reach the facility from the Brinkworth direction (for which a signed diversion route will be in place).
The diversion will take those arriving from the Swindon direction from Stoneover Lane to Whitehill Industrial Estate, then to Callow Hill onto Brinkworth Road or via Lydiard through to Flaxlands and onto Brinkworth Road (access via Hook will not be possible).
On Sunday 14 June, a 24-hour closure on the Coped Hall Roundabout and B4042 junction are planned. However, access from the Brinkworth direction will still be possible at all times.
While the road will be closed to through traffic, all closure points will have operatives stationed who will be able to grant access. If necessary, please speak to an operative who will advise on access.
Although there will be disruption and a longer route to get to the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground site, access will be possible at all times - meaning training and club events will not be affected.
Please do allow extra time when making your journey.
