Royal Wootton Bassett Town take on Southern League side Westbury United in the opening round of the Wiltshire Premier Shield on Tuesday night (Sustain Stadium, 7.45pm kick off).

The contest pits last season's defeated semi finalists against one another as threy both aim to start a deep run in the competition.

Bassett fell short in a 3-2 semi final loss to Swindon Supermarine while Westbury were beaten on penalties by eventual winners Chippenham Town.

The teams did meet at the first round stage two seasons ago with Westbury triumphing 5-2 at the Sustain Stadium. The Whitehorsemen would then go on to lift the Premier Shield, beating Swindon Town in the final.

Indeed, Westbury have not lost to Bassett since a 2009-10 FA Cup extra preliminary round replay, with their unbeaten run including five straight wins in knockout ties.
