Royal Wootton Bassett Town Under 14 Blue's strong recent form continued as they picked up a fourth win in five games on Sunday, moving the team up to fifth in North Wilts League Division Two.

The team's latest triumph saw them complete a season double over Croft Junior Red, who Bassett beat 3-0 away from home.

In a tight division, Bassett - who have games left to play - are just a point behind the two sides immediately above them and four points off second place Lydiard Millicent Juniors.

Also victorious this weekend were the Under 16 Blues who prevailed by the odd goal in three at Ferndale Rodbourne YCFC Red.

Their second consecutive win, the result means the Blues kicked off what is set to be a hectic final month of the campaign in the right way. Bassett sit fifth in Division One with six games left to play.

Elsewhere this weekend, the Under 12 Girls drew 2-2 with Larkhall Athletic in the Wiltshire County Women's and Girls League Division One thanks to goals from Robyn Spencer and Holly Wannell.

The Under 12 Yellows saw their hopes of a third place finish in North Wilts League Division Five come to an end in agonising fashion. Playing their final match, the Yellows lost a high-scoring thriller 7-4 against Highworth Town Juniors T, a result which takes Highworth above Bassett in the table.

Meanwhile a Ryan Lawrence goal was not enough for the Under 18 Yellows as they lost 3-1 to Division Three title chasers Wroughton Youth.
