Royal Wootton Bassett Town are pleased to welcome Reverend John Maxwell as Club Chaplain.

John, who coaches at the club's Free Saturday Morning Skills Sessions, volunteered to take the position and in his role will offer pastoral support to the club's members.

John also serves as the Chaplain for the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, a position he has held for twenty years. A Birmingham City supporter, John has played and enjoyed the beautiful game for many years. In addition to his coaching role at RWBTFC, he also helps coach AFC Melksham's Ability Counts teams.

Outside of football, John is a keen table tennis player and has represented the fire service at nationwide tournaments.
