Half term meant just two of Royal Wootton Bassett Town's youth section sides played competitive fixtures this weekend.

And the Under 13 Yellows took full advantage of being in action as they triumphed 4-1 at home against Kingsdown Lions Tigers.

Thomas Hyde gave Bassett an early lead before William Moreton and Fynn Crone extended their advantage further. Billy Robinson did pull a goal back for the visitors but Moreton eventually put the game to bed with his ninth goal of the season.

The result moves Bassett to within three points of North Wilts League Divison Four leaders FC Abbey Meads Youth Blue and Blunsdon Youth.

While the Under 13 Yellows celebrated victory, it was a frustrating afternoon for the Under 15 Blues who Malmesbury Youth defeated by the odd goal in three at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground.

Parker Fisher netted his seventh goal of the campaign for Bassett.
