2021-22 South West Women’s Football League constitution confirmed

Tuesday 29th June 2021

The constitution for the 2021-22 South West Regional Women's Football League Premier Division has been announced following the league's Annual General Meeting, which was held on Monday 28 June.

Entering their third season in the division, Royal Wootton Bassett Town Ladies will be hoping to finally complete a first full season at the fifth tier of women's football after the Coronavirus pandemic curtailed both the 2019-20 and 2020-21 campaigns.

And they will be facing ten other teams in 2021-22, with the division having grown in size by two sides as a result of restructuring in the women's game.

Entering the division are AFC St Austell, Brislington, Sherborne Town and Forest Green Rovers.

St Austell and Sherborne have been elevated from the South West Regional League Western Division, while Forest Green have been promoted from the Eastern division.

Brislington are moving down into the South West Regional League, having most recently played in the FA Women's National League Division One South West.

Moving in the opposite direction are Portishead Town, whose application for upwards movement was successful.

Meanwhile, Callington Town have withdrawn from the division.

The full constitution for the 2021-22 South West Regional Women's Football League Premier Division is as follows:

AFC St Austell
Bideford
Bishops Lydeard
Brislington
Forest Green Rovers
Ilminster Town
