Important ticket update for Oxford City FA Cup tie

Tuesday 29th September 2020

Given the release of updated guidance from the FA regarding the presence of spectators at Emirates FA Cup Second Qualifying Round games, the following update is necessary for Royal Wootton Bassett Town's tie against Oxford City.

As Saturday's visitors are a step two National League South side, they are classified as an Elite Club. As a result of the guidance issued today (Tuesday), NO fans of Oxford City will be permitted to attend Saturday's tie.

This unfortunately means that any tickets purchased by supporters from Oxford City are no longer valid.

All tickets will be checked on the day of the match, with ticket numbers reviewed upon entry in order to ensure compliance with these new rules. Anybody found with a ticket number that the club knows to have been sold as part of those originally allocated to Oxford City will unfortunately be denied entry for the game.

Supporters of Royal Wootton Bassett Town will still be able to attend - and can continue to purchase tickets from the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground.

As a club, Royal Wootton Bassett Town regrets having to make this announcement and we apologise to Oxford City and their supporters for the situation.
