The Under 13 Blues had a blast this weekend as they beat opponents Highworth Town Juniors J. Noah Cranswick-Coates made the headlines as he was the only scorer in a 4-2 win on home soil.

That results keeps up their promotion push ahead of a crunch game with North Wilts League Division Two leaders Ferndale Rodbourne YCFC Red. Cranswick-Coates' four goal haul put his personal tally up to seven goals in as many games for his team.

Their siblings, the Under 13 Yellows, were denied a second win despite a half-time lead. Lydiard Millicent Juniors were eventually victorious in a 8-4 battle at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground. Finley Marshall was on the scoresheet twice, the skipper Dan Seedall was on target from the penalty spot and Tomas Jerram secured his first goal of the season when he was finished off a Man City style passing move. Marshall's double for the Under 13 Yellows now puts him as joint second top goalscorer in Division Four with fifteen goals in all competitions from ten games.

The Under 16 Blues were also victorious in the league away to Purton Youth. A Kevin Prouse double and a single goal from Alex Stephenson provided the goals to secure a 3-1 win away from home.

Their sibling side, the Under 16 Yellows secured a cracking 7-0 win at home versus Highworth Town Juniors C too. Nataniel Koszyk and Sebastien Turner doubles, along with single goals from Sam Kendrick, Tristan McKay and Harry Collins completed the tally of seven goal over their sorry opponents.

The Under 12 Blue were at the wrong end of a 3-1 scoreline as they were beaten at home by FC Salisbury United. Salisbury were the team to come away happy after a long trip north to Royal Wootton Bassett. Leon Hudson was the only scorer for Bassett this time around.

The Yellows were also made to suffer defeat as they were beaten 4-1 away from home at Stratton Juniors FC Tigers. Brandon Jack was the only one to be on the scoresheet this weekend.

The Whites were overtaken just after halftime as they were head to head after 30 minutes against Swindon Supermarine Blue. Despite a deficit of four goals at 6-2, they were finally beaten 10-2 at the full-time whistle. Harley Druett and Danny Harris were the highly commemorated players as they made it onto the scoreline to give Bassett hope in the first half.

The Under 14 Whites lost 4-1 away from home on Saturday morning versus Purton Youth. Merkai Joseph was the only headliner in their defeat.

Wiltshire County Cup

In Wiltshire County Cup action there were mixed fortunes for Bassett's teams.

Maxwell Woods scored the only goal as the Under 14 Blues beat West Harnham Youth to advance to round three. They won't be joined at that stage by their sibling Yellow side though. Despite scoring five goals, with Ewan Painter scoring a hat-trick, they lost 8-5 against Highworth Town Juniors H.

Runners-up last season, the Under 18 Floodlit team advanced to the last sixteen of the Youth Cup with a 19-1 win away against FC Abbey Meads Youth Purple. Eleven different players scored, with Jed Phillips (4) and Taida Tendayi (3) leading the way.

They unfortunately won't be joined by the Under 18 Yellows who lost a heartbreaker 3-2 after extra time against Blunsdon Youth. Joshua Harkness and Adam Jones scored for Bassett.

Both Under 15s sides were eliminated. In a nine goal thriller, the Blues lost 5-4 against Ramsbury Youth, with Max Brackenbury, Joshua Griffin, Joseph Rouse and Charlie Stammers scoring for Bassett. The Yellows lost 16-0 at home against Salisbury United.
