Ladies fixtures released

Sunday 4th August 2019

Royal Wootton Bassett Town Ladies will begin life in the Premier Division of the South West Regional Women's Football League with a trip to Marine Academy Plymouth.

Jonny House and James Goddard's promotion winning team will journey to Devon on Sunday 8th September to face last season's fourth place side.

In what represents a tough start to the campaign, Bassett are due to host Bishops Lydeard, who finished a place below Marine Academy in 2018-19, a week later.

They then face an away trip to Middlezoy Rovers and home clash against Callington Town to end the first month of the campaign.

Bassett's first meeting with familiar opponents comes at the start of October when they visit Portishead Town. The Somerset-side pipped Bassett to the Eastern Division title in 2017-18 and finished their first season at the fifth tier of women's football in sixth place.

The team are due to make the trip to Callington in Cornwall – their longest journey – on Sunday 8th December, and also have visits to Bideford and Torquay United to look forward to in what is set to be a challenging, yet intriguing season against a range of new opponents.
