Provisional Wiltshire Senior League constitution announced

Saturday 8th June 2019

The draft constitution for the 2019-20 Wiltshire Senior League was published this week, with the likely opponents announced for Royal Wootton Bassett Town's Development and Under 18 Floodlit League teams.

Development team

Development team joint managers Steve Chadwick and Andy Mullen, who took over the reins partway through last season, will be hoping to improve on their eleventh-place finish in the Wiltshire Senior League Premier Division last season.

The competition will again comprise sixteen teams, with the Development side set to face three new opponents.

Joining the competition are Frome Collegians, Holt and Stratton Juniors. They replace Football ID and Devizes Town Reserves, both of who were relegated, with a third vacancy having been available after Westbury United Reserves withdrew from the Wiltshire League towards the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

Both Frome and Holt have been promoted after title winning seasons. The former finished top of the Mid Somerset League Premier Division for the second season in a row, while the latter were champions of the Trowbridge and District League. Meanwhile, Stratton, who lifted the Wiltshire Junior Cup in 2018-19, earned promotion by virtue of finishing runners-up in the Swindon and District League.

The full provisional constitution for the 2019-20 Wiltshire League Premier Division is as follows:

Corsham Town Reserves
Cricklade Town
Frome Collegians

Kintbury Rangers
Ludgershall Sports
