Youth section fundraising

Tuesday 25th September 2018

With all the club's teams now back in action, fundraising efforts for the youth section will ramp up over the next couple of months. Read on for a taste of what's coming up:

Asda Green Token Giving Programme

From 1st October until 31st December, Royal Wootton Bassett Town will be part of the Green Token scheme at Asda's West Swindon store.

As part of the scheme, customers are able to vote for one of three nominees by receiving a Green Token from the cashier.

At the end of the three month period, the organisation receiving the most tokens will be awarded a prize of £500, with the second and third place organisations receiving £200 each.

The club will be grateful for all support it receives as part of the scheme – so please do ask friends and family to support when visiting the store!

Highway to Holland - 20th October

On Saturday 20th October, players from across the club's Under 12, 13 and 14 youth teams the club will be taking part in a sponsored cycle ride in Royal Wootton Bassett High Street. They will be taking it in turns to cycle the 336 miles between Bassett and Dordrecht, the location of the hostel where the teams will be staying in Holland next April.

The sponsored ride will be taking place underneath the town's iconic Town Hall, where there will also be a cake stall, tombola and collection buckets to help raise further money.

Donations of cakes and tombola items are required for this. Those interested in donating are invited to contact either Karen Watkinson or Claire Cranswick-Coates in order to arrange delivery and collection.

Christmas Family Bingo – 17th November

A bingo night will take place on Saturday 17th November in the clubhouse at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground, beginning at 7.30pm.

All are invited to attend and bring along friends and family for what should be a great evening's entertainment.

As usual, there will be prizes on offer for those who win, with cash flyers for the grown-ups!

Christmas Raffle

The club will be holding a large raffle in December 2018. All parents will be given £10 of raffle tickets to sell for this.

Donations of prizes (such as biscuits, chocolate and alcohol) are also requested. If you are interested in donating, please contact either Karen Watkinson or Claire Cranswick-Coates in order to arrange delivery and collection.
