Sunday team award winners

Josh Morse and Mitchell Petrie took home Royal Wootton Bassett Town's Sunday side's Player of the Year awards as the team celebrated a hugely successful inaugural season.

Bassett romped to the Swindon Sunday League Division Two title, losing just one game. They triumphed eighteen times, drawing twice, while scoring an astonishing 139 goals and conceding just nineteen.

It was therefore fitting that Josh Morse, one of their leading attacking lights, was crowned Players' Player of the Year. The gifted winger struck sixteen times and served as creator on numerous other occasions. He pipped veteran central midfielder Marcus Hall, another player - one of six overall - to score at least ten times during the season, to the prize.

Midfielder Mitchell Petrie was awarded Manager's Player of the Year. Scorer of four goals, he anchored Bassett's midfield throughout the campaign, linking up play between defence and attack for a side whose football was often outstanding.

Meanwhile, George Moulton picked up the Clubman of the Year prize. He appeared eighteen times throughout the season, with the majority of those coming from the bench.
