Royal Wootton Bassett Town Under 14 Blues bounced back from defeat in fine style, triumphing 3-1 in their derby encounter with Purton.
Bassett, who fell to a loss by the same score against Highworth Town Juniors H last week, were run close by basement dwellers Purton, but secured the points thanks to a first goal of the season for Armarni Curtis and James Johnson and a further strike from leading scorer Otis Lewis.
The result keeps them tied at the top of Division One with Highworth and undefeated FC Chippenham Youth White.
Also keeping touch at the top of Division One were the Under 15 Blues, who saw off Castle Combe Colts 5-0. Daniel Warre netted twice for Bassett, while the scoring was completed by Nathaniel Bell, Landon Golding and an own goal.
Meanwhile, the Under 13 Blues, who are out in front on their own in Division Two, recorded a 4-2 win against Croft Junior Blue courtesy of braces from Samuel Warner and Joey Warren.
Biggest winners of the weekend were the Under 12 Yellows, who triumphed 9-0 against Lydiard Millicent Juniors. Bassett remain two points behind leaders Ramsbury Youth in Division Four. Patrick Otoo-Mensah scored a hat trick, with Samuel Watson netting a brace. Also finding the net were Jack Andrews, Alana Hunt, Nalani Hunt and Carter Selby.
The same gap separates the Under 12 Blues from frontrunners Cirencester Town Centurions in Division One. A 1-1 draw at home against Bishops Cannings Corinthians made sure Bassett stay in second.
Also gaining a hard-earned point were the Under 16 Blues as Sam Singha's goal earned a share of the spoils with Ferndale Rodbourne.
On Saturday, the Under 12 Girls saw a heroic comeback attempt against Derry Hill United Flames thwarted. Bassett were 5-0 down at half time, but fought back in the second half with goals from Poppy Wannell and Aashika Hadani, only to lose 6-3.
Elsewhere, there were defeats for the Under 14 Yellows (8-3 against Lambourn Sports Juniors), Under 13 Yellows (7-1 against Marlborough Youth Colts) and Under 12 Whites (6-2 against Ferndale Rodbourne Rebels).
