North Wilts League Cup quarter final draws announced

Tuesday 7th November 2017

Draws have been made for the quarter finals of the North Wilts League Cup, and three of the four Royal Wootton Bassett Town teams still in the hat have been handed home ties.

Both the Under 18 Blue and Yellow sides are yet to play their second round matches, but will have added motivation going into these knowing they'll be at home in the last eight should they win.

If they defeat Fairford and Lechlade, the Blues will entertain Division One rivals Stratton Youth, who they have yet to meet this season.

Meanwhile, the Yellows have been paired at home against fellow Division Two side Tetbury Town should they manage to see off AFC Newbury Colts.

Both the Under 12 Blues and Under 15 Blues have already booked their place in the quarter finals.

The younger of those two teams have been drawn at home against Cirencester Town Centurions or FC Calne Black. Both possible opponents, like Bassett, play in Division One. The Centurions are currently top with four wins from their four league games, while Bassett defeated Calne 3-2 in their only meeting so far this season.

For the third consecutive round, the Under 15 Blues face an away trip as they meet Castle Combe Colts. Bassett defeated them 5-0 at the same stage last season, going on to lift the cup for the second time in three seasons.

Ties are set to be played on Sunday 3rd December.

Best of luck to all Bassett teams!
